• Reduce Municipality Sewer By-Law Compliance Risk
  • Reduce Total Suspended Solids
  • Increase Dissolved Oxygen Levels In Effluent

B.O.D. stands for Biological Oxygen Demand. This is the measure of microbially decomposable material in the waste water and the amount of oxygen they require is one measure of "waste quality". If waste with a high B.O.D. is introduced into water, the microorganisms will use the dissolved oxygen to decompose it, leaving little oxygen in the water. If these levels exceed 300 mg/L you could be out of compliance and fined.

The Greenflow B.O.D. Reduction System can take liquid waste effluent from many different processes and keeps these levels in compliance. After waste enters our system, B.O.D. levels will be minimized by the constant circulating through specialized carbon filter(s); removing the decomposable materials in solution. Aeration is added to keep the effluent rich in dissolved oxygen. The system is never shut down and the treated effluent will cascade down the drain as new product enters. The only consumable is a $20.00 specialized carbon filter that is as simple to replace as a water panel filter. No service contract is required.
